Stephen Fry's interview
Feb 3rd, 2015 at 12:59pm

Did anyone see Stephen Fry's response to a question about what he would say to God if he met him.

I can't post any links yet (still a new member) but if you google "stephen fry utterly utterly evil" the video will be in the search results.

Just about sums it up for me!

I can't remember which atheist it was, but the response to "what would you do if you ever met god" led to the answer "well which one then"

There are an infinite number of assumptions in framing the question. I am glad he went beyond the Abrahamic God in his answer, although in the end it doesn't really matter one way or the other. However, I always find something contradictory in pseudo logic that one God is somehow a more realistic likelihood than a pantheon.

But before anyone goes making assumptions about my beliefs, I would like to point out that a couple of pious twits on the forum have already accused me of being agnostic. I am not. Neither am I a God fearer or an atheist. Those are categories of someone else's head space.

Good propaganda, Comrade. Keep sowing the seeds of discontent, pessimism and nihilism. Only when everyone is as miserable as us "progressives" can there be world peace. This is progress.

A month ago, you might have recognised the face from somewhere, but no front bottom knew the name Stephen fry.

Add a homorriage and some contrived comments on atheism and voila!  The left have a new prophet.

The earliest recorded name of god is Elohim, which is plural

You gotta be kidding me.

Stephen Fry is extremely well known.

He was one half of one of the greatest comedy teams from the '80s and '90s.

You are talking about Stephen "Melchitt" Fry here correct?  Also, his thoughts on atheism are nothing new either, he's been criticising religion for decades.

"The God that created this world is an utter maniac"

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO GOD, STEPHEN FRY?

"Bone cancer in children? Whats that about? How dare you!! How dare you create a world in which there is such misery that is not our fault? Its not right! Its utterly, utterly evil! Why should i respect a capriscious mean minded, spupid God who creates a wolrd that is so full of injustice and pain? That is what i would say to God."

- Stephen Fry

Stephen Fry.

The man who doesn't know what the cause of bone cancer [and indeed many other illnesses] in children, is.

But nevertheless, Stephen Fry is a person who believes that it is OK to rail against the creator God, and to blame God [if he does exist] for every evil that is in the world.

Ecclesiastes 7:29
Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.

Stephen Fry, is a man who regards himself as being an intelligent human being, and yet, he is a man who promotes the idea that putting your 'seeding device' [your 'recreation' device] into a channel full of sewage should be widely regarded as 'socially acceptable' or 'clever' not harmful - BECAUSE HE WANTS TO DO IT!

Stephen Fry, is a man, who like so many men, declares that they will not be constrained by God's laws.

But then loudly, and indignantly whine, and complain, that it is all God's fault, when evil befalls them/men!

Isaiah 48:17
Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.
18  O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

i.e.
Men like Stephen Fry say;

"I won't respect and obey God [my creator], but how dare God allow evil to come upon us/me!"

God's laws, are not oppressive;

Psalms 73:1
Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.

Isaiah 1:16
Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
17  Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Jeremiah 21:12
O house of David, thus saith the LORD; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

Jeremiah 22:3
Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.

Psalms 34:11
Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
12  What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
13  Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
14  Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

p.s.
Stephen Fry isn't a Hebrew.

Stephen Fry is not subject to ancient Hebrew law.

Stephen Fry is not subject to ancient Hebrew law because Stephen Fry lives in the world, separated from God.

Stephen Fry, himself, chooses this circumstance.

advice to steven;

Stephen Fry, you are widely regarded as being an intelligent human being,
.....SO PLEASE, PLEASE STOP WHINING INCESSANTLY, THAT YOU DON'T LIKE LIVING IN A WORLD WITHOUT GOD!

Probably then you should address interviewers to then stop asking him questions about God.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)
