Liberal backbencher speaks out against Abbott

Finally straight from the horses mouth. Until now we've heard coalition backbench disaffection through media leaks, at last we have a liberal with the balls to come out and spell out clearly and frankly the greivances Abbott's own team has against him. Full credit for this guy for the honesty.

"I told the Prime Minister that on January 23," he told the ABC.

"I texted him, and this was prior to the Prince Philip [knighthood] debacle, I texted him and told him that he no longer enjoyed my support."

Dr Jensen said the Prime Minister should be replaced as soon as possible.

"In my view the more quickly you do this, the better," he said.

Dr Jensen said he was no longer behind Mr Abbott because the Coalition was "not governing as we should be".

"There is no strategic direction, the policy is not consistent and coherent," Dr Jensen said.

He said Mr Abbott was an "outstanding" opposition leader and "probably the best that Australia's ever had, but he hasn't made the transition to prime minister".

"He is not focused on policy. He is not focused on strategic direction. He is focused more on tactics and tactical policy," Dr Jensen said.

I think the libs are wedged.
Theyve completely painted themselves into a corner.

This only makes me dislike the leadership group more as it shows they are fools and i cant tolerate fools.

Quite frankly, I don't personally care who leads the LNP. That brand is on the nose, but I do enjoy seeing them do what they condemned the ALP for doing with Gillard/Rudd.

So thats one third of the entire government determined to see Abbot gone. And thats not even taking into account the disaffected who haven't yet declared open revolt.
