Glitch ~ or something more sinister.
Feb 16th, 2015 at 2:07pm

At about the same time as a recent banning from here, someone had a go at stuffing up my account here.  It was on the 10th February at about 7.24 pm.  How do I know?  Well, when they tried to get my password, the software here automatically sent me an email, as follows:

Dear Aussie,

A request was made by a visitor at Australian Politics Forum to reset your password. If you did not submit a request to reset your password, then please ignore this e-mail.

Otherwise, go here to reset your password: http:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxetc.

The Australian Politics Forum team

I wonder if anyone who is a mutual Member here and elsewhere can advise whether there was any commentary elsewhere by the banned Member (Neferti) about any reprisal type intent they may have expressed over there?  I have no doubt she will have blamed me for her own conduct which led to the ban.

Also, perhaps freediver/GMods here can have a look at the time of the ban of Neferti and the time that attempted hack on my account was made, ie 7.24 pm on the 10th February.

[Obviously, I have edited the email by deleting personal information with xxxxs.]

Off-Topic replies have been moved to this Topic.

I'll leave this here so FD can deal with it. The bickering has been dumped where it belongs and the thread locked.

I can't do this, but I'm doing it anyway.

This is what you get when you use the "forgot my password" button. It is standard on all sites with a login. It is possible that a bot or stalker did this for you, as an experiment to see who can be wound up most easily. They cannot get any information this way without access to your email account.

People who can't distinguish between etymology and entomology bug me in ways I cannot put into words.
