The Byron Bay Cookie Company have resisted a vile campaign of intimidation against them for using halal certification on their products. For them, they are not only willing to get the certification, they are now fighting to keep it. How do you feel, adam, about intimidating Australian companies who refuse to buy into the islamophobic scaremongering campaign?
For the actual people involved, its a great business opportunity. The bigots not only have no clue about what they are being hysterical about, they are trying to hurt Australian companies. And they have the hide to call themselves patriots.
Hmm a vile campaign of intimidation. What was vile about the campaign and what was intimidating ?
Describe this so called islamophobic scaremongering campaign. Why is it islamophobic thats a bit of a laugh and why is it scaremongering who is getting scared ? Oh and tell us about the campaign who runs it and how does it work ?
The owner of the cookie company said and I quote
"The Halal company that certifies us is based in Sydney, they come and they audit us and then they go away again, they don't 'bless' our foods, they don't 'bless' our site, there's no religious context to it, they check our hygiene and they check that there's no alcohol there," Mr Byrne said."
The definition of HALAL:
Halal products are derived from animals and/or poultry that have been prepared according to Islamic law under the following statement, “In the name of God – God is the Greatest/Bismillahi Allahu Akbar”.
So I take it the cookie factory is not HAHAL then since the food is not prepared under that religious statement. Given that fact its just a scam and rort.
Further more the owner of the cookie company states.
"But in the food industry the Halal certification also shows that there's no alcohol in our ingredients and so depending on the ingredient we get audited to say that there's no alcohol use in our production and that our production site is of an acceptable level of cleanliness and hygiene," Mr Byrne said.
Being a so called Australian has he ever heard of putting NO ALCOHOL and the appropriate ISO classification on his products. The premises has to be inspected and cleanliness and hygiene checked by the government anyway so he can keep on trading with food anyway so that is a laugh to roll that chestnut out. In essence his arguments for being halal certified are moot.
Words are cheap unless of course you are Kafrophobic. I am sure your response will be very well informed as usual since you claim to know all about islam.
Do Carry on.
