Do you understand that halal certification doesn't require any chants or prayers - if the source ingredients are halal anyway? And do you understand that said certification is merely a confirmation that both the ingredients and processes are already halal?

It doesn't matter what I say - the only relevant point is there is a market for it, and companies are shrewd enough to want to cash in on it. Thats the point you continually ignore while you are too busy screaming "RORT! RORT!!" All you are trying to get me to say is that muslim consumers are stupid for wanting certification. But that doesn't make it a rort or extortion.

Start a campaign to educate muslims that all is required is to say 'bismilah', and eventually there might be no market. The fact is though, the market exists now, and companies are willing to pay money to cash in on that market. I honestly don't see where the rort is. What you call a rort is just some people being irrational and wanting silly things in the products that they buy (from your point of view). How is it any different to companies paying for gluten free labelling? Is that a rort too? Me saying that people are stupid for wanting gluten free products is totally and utterly irrelevant to the fact that there is a market for gluten free products, and that companies will therefore want to cash in on that market.

So here we have muslims definition of a market. To make companies that supply already halal products pay them a tax so it can be halal. So in a sense screw people over for something that is already halal and that is being shrewd by cashing in on peoples ignorance of the fact their product is already Halal. It sounds like that HALAL Truck LOL. What a rort.

This relying on peoples irrational fear of not keeping a fictitious god allah happy is ludicrous and plain deceitful. Just exploitation of their own people and other gullibles.

That is a rort of the system as plain as day.

Feel free to address the topic now. How is having a market for halal certified *MILK* and for *MILK* producers wanting to cash in on that market a rort/extortion?

It must be the same for *MILK* producers also going out and paying for gluten free labelling to cash in on the gluten-free market right? If not, why not?

Isn't it the case that what you describe as a rort/extortion (in the *MILK* industry) is merely your incredulity for why some people in our community would ever want to buy only products with halal certification?

When will muslims learn the only reason foreign companies pay this is so they can milk muslim countries for bigger bucks. Not because they want their food halalified. Its just for a bigger slice of the muslim pocket.

I have no problem with that but don't bring it here and try and screw over companies in non muslim nations with the rort.

Nothing at all needs to be halal certified in this country or any country period its all BS. Muslims peddle it to make a buck pure and simple. They tell all muslims food has to be halal then think up a halal certification business. Who's the dumb dumbs.
