Disgraceful behaviour.

It's thugs like that who give all Unions a bad name.

"Our union will discipline the individual and provide counselling aimed at ensuring this doesn't happen again."

Not good enough. He should be summarily dismissed, for serious misconduct.

Absolutely.

Being unemployed, with a family and a mortgage, would be very stressful.

However, that doesn't in any way justify physical assault.
