Dear Greg,

Thank you for your contribution to the statistics on child murder.  I would like to point out that even those figures are misleading for the simple reason that the 'father' mentioned is, in many cases, not the natural father of the child, but is a second or third occupier of that position.

This is commonly referred to at Grappler U as the 'new lion' -and the facts are that children are up to SEVEN times more likely to be abused even unto death by their mother either alone or in company with the 'new lion' than by their natural father.

This is a well documented fact going back many years now, though I will not venture to discuss the social conditions that bring this about, since that is a complex issue and is different in every case.
