USA:

" ... mothers kill their children in this country much more often than most people would realize by simply reading the headlines; by conservative estimates it happens every few days, at least 100 times a year. Experts say more mothers than fathers kill their children under 5 years of age."

"According to a 2009 report from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, that year 27.3 percent of child deaths resulting from abuse were perpetrated by the mother, compared to only 14.8 percent of fathers."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleveland_Elementary_School_shooting_%28San_Diego%2...

"On the morning of Monday, January 29, 1979, Spencer began shooting from her home at children who were waiting outside Cleveland Elementary School for principal Burton Wragg to open the gates.[3] She injured eight children. Wragg was killed while trying to help the children. Custodian Mike Suchar was killed while trying to pull Wragg to safety.[11] A police officer responding to a call for assistance during the incident was wounded in the neck as he arrived.[11]"

.. and two men died either protecting children or trying to rescue a fallen comrade...

We've been at this before with Cods, she seems to think that there must always be a man to share the blame, somehow, and women wouldn't do this. They are caring and protecting.

All women are not like you Cods, all men are not Pol Pot. Women spend more time with kids and they don't all appreciate it.

Disgraceful behaviour.

It's thugs like that who give all Unions a bad name.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-02-25/attack-on-journalist-burrell-at-union-even...

"In a statement, MUA state secretary Chris Cain condemned the attack on The Australian's Andrew Burrell and said the union would "discipline" the person responsible."

"Our union will discipline the individual and provide counselling aimed at ensuring this doesn't happen again."

Not good enough.  He should be summarily dismissed, for serious misconduct.

Yes, because he's the first union official to have been accused of being a thug!

What's worse is all the union hacks standing around doing nothing. If the MUA was truly sorry about that incident, one of their ranking members would've stepped in and stopped this thug well before he had the journalist pinned to the ground.

As a radical, you wouldn't be expected to lose sleep or even offer more than the mildest rebuke coupled with an insult to the victim. You don't offer any surprise.

Yes, because he's the first union official to have been accused of being a thug!

It turns out that he's not a union official: he's a union member.

There are thugs everywhere, even in unions.

However, that doesn't mean that all union members and officials are thugs.

The vast majority of them are hard working, decent people.

What this guy did was wrong; nobody denies that.

It's a pity they don't report all the good things that unions do in an average day.  Then again, there wouldn't be enough space in the paper to print it all.

Which is perhaps why occasionally frustration takes over and a normally nice guy beats on a scumbag Murdoch journalist, which we all acknowledge he should not have done.

1. He's a prick.

2. He was asked to leave, but didn't.
