funny though everyone went mad when he asked for $7 a visit to a doctor to put more funding into research as scientists refuse to work for free.. and because we are in a complete mess when its comes to debt and going down the drain at a rapid rate..
I guess the money has come.....................maybe when he finds the ALPs money tree all will be solved.
Well gee I heard the $7 co payment was for the budget woes when 1st mentioned.
Did you also note we spend less funding for Uni's than the Liberal ideal "The USA"
Quote:Australia invests less in higher education than New Zealand, Canada, most of Europe and the USA.
As for your usual partisan crap the money should come from out TAXES
Our TAXES fund the society we want.
As I've told other posters Cods,
you don't want to pay taxesMove to Somalia or some such country.
No? of course you don't want that you want exactly what you've got & more for nothing.
Q the I'm old & paid taxes so I deserve it line
Money paid in taxes is used by the government to provide services through the bureaucracy staffed by public servants.
this is an inefficient way to improve peoples lives.
As our low taxing Asian neighbours have shown, with much bigger boosts in growth, real wages and productivity, the private sector will always outperform the government sector .
As such, the beast (Canberra) should be starved.
The correct model for a happy successful country is to give out as much in tax cuts as possible. then balance the budget by reducing the size of government.
when private hospitals, private schools, private telecommunications, private electricity providers, private toll roads all consistently out perform the government sector, then this policy is the policy of a "clever ' country.
If you want government control of everything, move to north korea.
