stay positive
never ever give in
the lefties really do have a "glass half empty ' view of the world.
you get to choose your view of the world and i'm wondering why anyone would CHOOSE that view.
you are beaten before you begin.
Draw some inspiration from people who did have the "never say die ' attitude.
Google : Bruno, paraplegic, world surfer, yacht captain, adventurer, film maker, author.
watch the 60 minutes story on the motivational speaker born with no arms and no legs.
maybe even watch the new Steven hawkings movie.
help your fellow lefties out of this "self pity"
self pity is the most destructive world view one can have.
to have it in Australia beggars belief.
we should personality screen every person at centrelink and anyone who is not enthusiastic and cheerful and dynamic should be made to live in a village in Somalia for a 6months .
Lefties are realists, they see the world as it is, the good and the bad.
Righties look at the world through rose coloured glasses, they get a distorted view, they live in a pretend world, often leaving answers to God rather than making their own decisions.
This may well be true, but I put it to you that this is a sensible and rational decision.
It is also, dare I say, a self fulfilling prophesy.
If you have a positive up beat vibe about you, you will tend to have good experiences, you will tend to be more employable, you will tend to have better and more friends and in the modern economy, the "social network" is the best working capital you can have.
so if you take tradies, or car salesmen or whatever.
the success and happiness depends very much on the ATTITUDE of the small business person.
As honky said, the new jobs will be coming in the small business sector and in the service industry.
the old jobs in the public service are gone (governments don't have the $$) and the old jobs in factories are gone (we cant compete with the apple workers in china). now public servants and factory workers can , maybe, get away with a shiity attitude.
small business people in the service sector will succeed or fail based totally on their attitude.
as ive said before, you don't need a massive brain or a lot of money behind you.
a smile, enthusiasm, a bit of grit and some perseverance will see you through.
I am at a loss as to why any 18 to 25 yo would not be practicing these skills as they are the key to success.
and the attitude of most lefties strikes me as a constant downer and a constant negative vibe.
they shoot themselves in the foot big time.
