chicken_lipsforme, all valid points.
But we don't live in a rational world today.
We live in a world today, where many political leaders in the world today, seem to believe, that peace can assuredly come from appeasement of evil people, ....from pandering to the demands of evil people.
That is not indicative of rational thought.
chicken_lipsforme,
Luckily, Israel is named after,
.....hmmmmm, who was it chicken_lipsforme, that Israel was named after ? ....
Isaiah 43:1
But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
Isaiah 43:5
Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
7 Even every one that is
called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
Against, THE NAME of Israel

Quote:Julius Abbott,
Yeah i just believe faerie tales [that were written more than
3,000 years ago] in a faerie tale book, because i am a person who does not have a good grasp on reality.

Deuteronomy 4:27
And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.
Deuteronomy 28:37
And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.
Deuteronomy 28:64
And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.
65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
66 And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
1 Kings 9:6
But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:
7 Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:
8 And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?
9 And they shall answer,
Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.
[n.b. In 1 Kings 9:6-9, God isn't threatening people and forcing a people to worship him.
Ancient Israel was a nation of people, WHO
HAD BEEN REDEEMED FROM BONDAGE, by their God.
In 1 Kings 9:6-9, God is threatening to PUNISH Israel [who was a nation of people, who were 'in covenant' with God] if they brake their covenant with God.]
