Ditto.

Those Christians love to knock on the door and force their pamphlets into your hands though, don't they?

I haven't seen any Muslims doing that.

In fact, I have never had a Muslim mention religion to me at all.  Not once.

Many of my Christian friends and family members, however, never shut up about it.

I've been asked several times, by Christians, to attend a church.

Not once have I been asked by a Muslim to attend a mosque.

Who has been forcing their religion onto you?

That's funny Gweggary ... comparing Mormons(no pamphlets) & Jehovahs Witnesses to Muslims.

Firstly both are polite & may want to talk to you ...Mormons may ask to come in & bless your house....

Never had a Jehovah force a pamphlet into my hand

& with both you can tell them you're not interested or to bugger off.

And they leave ........

hardly a comparison to the violence we see when Muslims for the slightest criticism or feigned insult.

bump

muslims behead Christian because they are christians.

you complain on the net of an invitation to a church.
I see why, you are gutless.

Islamophobia, such a convenient concept for avoiding a serious problem in the Western World. Muslims are just like us, right? They believe in multiculturalism and freedom of speech, and they love other religions, just like Mohamed their prophet told them to.

Did anyone notice today that the Paks let the leader of the Mombai attacks go? Why not? They are all Muslim brothers.

Actually, they let Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi out on bail, not "go" as you so distinctly put it.

Seems, on the surface of it, a fair decision.  If you have any information that it is a bad decision, I am sure the Pakistani Ambassador would like to speak to you.   Roll Eyes

Are there any specific lies in the article?

"CRITICISE Islam and you’re an “Islamophobe”

Nonsense.

I criticise Islam, and I'm no Islamophobe.

Islamophobia is a prejudice against, hatred towards, or fear of the religion of Islam or Muslims.

Informed criticism is perfectly fine; it doesn't mean that one hates Islam or is frightened of Muslims.

Really?? When have you ever 'criticised' Islam??

In this forum, at least a dozen times.

Do a search of "I think Islam is a particularly silly religion", and my name will come up.

And, just so there's no doubt in your mind, I'll say it again just for you, without the quotation marks:

Islam is a particularly silly religion, and I don't know why anyone would want to be a part of it.

There we go - In the future, pay attention.

Well, you must have gone back and deleted ALL the threads where you posted "I think Islam is a particularly silly religion", because, when I did a search, THIS seems to be the only thread where you've posted that...

Thanks for the non-answer regarding capital punishment, Greggory. How do you feel about the punishment of death for apostasy which is espoused in the Koran?

I haven't deleted anything.

However, just for you: I think Islam is a particularly silly religion, and I don't know why anyone would want to be a part of it.

There we go - you have it on record twice now.

My position couldn't be any clearer.

I didn't see your question.

However, this is quite simple to answer.

I don't support capital punishment under any circumstances, in any countries, for any crimes, or any other reason whatsoever.

Capiche?

My view on capital punishment doesn't come from what a book or person of faith tells me.

Mine comes from the fact I support people being removed from this earth who have committed crimes so heinous that they give up that right to further exist.

Namely first degree murder, child related offenses etc

Capital punishment supported by a strong and fair judicial system of appeal hearings and trial by jury.
Best card game in town for law and order.

Incorrect.

It doesn't deter other criminals.

Check out all the states in the US that have capital punishment, and see how their law and order is going.

There's no place in civilised society for state-sanctioned premeditated killing as a form of punishment.

Capital punishment.

Concentrate on the second word for a minute or two, and then see if you can figure out where you went wrong.

Greggory, I take from your 'slippery' answer that you are in opposition of the teachings of the Koran visa vie capital punishment. Now for your views on death for apostasy.  Let me guess; 'silly'.

Slippery?  Which part was slippery?

"I don't support capital punishment under any circumstances, in any countries, for any crimes, or any other reason whatsoever."

My answer couldn't have been clearer, or more honest.

Absolutely correct.
