Abbot 12% as preferred leader
Apr 28th, 2015 at 10:29am

The Herald Sun has an opinion poll printed today showing preferred Liberal leader as

Turnbull 38%

Bishop 27%

Abbott 12%

Can it get any worse for this total dud of a PM?

It has Plibersek 23 and Shorten 21.

That only goes to show the dismal quality of every so-called political leader in this country - as my post yesterday - not one of them would get a start in a Presidential race of vote of the people.

You seem to be referring to the morgan poll:
http://www.roymorgan.com/findings/6206-preferred-leaders-liberal-labor-april-201...

Reachtel also just published their poll from last week - spelling more bad news for the coalition, as the numbers seem to have settled on - lets call it "bad" - after recovering from "catastrophic" since a couple of months ago.

A couple of interesting results from this poll - labor seem to be on a winner on expanding tax on super, while support for removing negative gearing split almost evenly.

I'm torn.

While I agree he should stay, I'm sick of seeing his face.

*Sure....they're anti competitive as any subsidised job is.  It wouldn't be there without the tax payer.  Very damned difficult for a brainwashed collectivist to understand that I know....  (swaggy) *

Well it's not as if he has been the darling of the ochlocracy like Rudd was?  His numbers have always been bad.

He was an accidental leader from the start - he only became leader of his party because Fran Bailey just happened to be in hospital on the day of the vote. But he proved to be a superb attack dog against the dysfunctional Rudd-Gillard circus. The libs then got so caught up in their oppose-by-slogans politics, that they forgot what was needed to actually govern. So of course Tony was found wanting from day one of his election win - the first PM in modern history to not have a 'honey moon' period, and its only gotten worse since.

But its been an important lesson for both sides - the lesson that you can't simply throw the kitchen sink to remove a government, but have nothing left to offer when you form government. Opposition's will now be more circumspect and understand the importance of not booby trapping your own future government.

Not to worry. Here's some music for election night.

Which is why we've already seen more policy announcements from Labor - actual policies, not just slogans - than we saw from the Coalition before the election campaign.
