You know exactly what I mean. Why do women have to cover themselves, to whatever degree, all over or show their face etc..., but the same doesn't go for men?

I'm saying the muslim women I know *DON'T* have to cover as you claim they do. Whats the story there?

If you're asking me why it happens where it does happen - my guess is because those places are run by misogynistic arseholes. But I rather suspect the answer you're looking for is "because they're muslim". Right?

Unislamic? Islam treats women as slaves. Why is it okay for men to walk around in normal clothes like a shirt, pants/shorts but women have to cover up from head to toe?

so what that means in effect is that some Muslims believe that women should be segregated from men (in certain circumstances) and some do not, which renders the statement "that's unislamic", somewhat misleading don't you think?
