There is a difference between role segregation and inequality. Just as it is possible to have a moral standard that doesnt include all possible options. An all-inclusive moral code is in fact, not moral at all. Morals are by defintion, standards that exclude some behaviour.

Translation: christian misogyny is morally correct and muslim misogyny is barbaric. Christians and Muslims have each had their share of barbarism and backwardness over the centuries and each have leapfrogged each other with advancements in thinking. You're justification for not allowing women priests is every bit as spurious as the justifications by "some" muslims for segregating the sexes.

if you cannot see the difference in the scale of this inequality then no one can help you. Plus women are in no way segregated. And with the singular exception of the catholic/anglican chuches, women are head pastors already and have been for many decades.

So there is a difference between role segregation and inequality? Can you explain that a bit more clearly for me? Where's the line?

assuming that is a serious question then the answer is of course not a simple one. The catholic church for example only has male priests but every other role is open to both sexes. in practical terms that supposed inequality is very slight. But you try and be a male midwife or a male primary school teacher or male childcare worker. not impossible, but really hard and even if you get the gig, the pressures against you are enormous.

lets not pretend that every job, every role and every position is equally open to both genders. Life is never that simple.
