More to the point, why would they want to?

Perhaps to deflate Islam's far too large claims for itself and its demand that everyone fall in line with its regard for Muhammed?  You know, self-deprecation, not taking themselves too seriously, realising that they might be wrong and so not being so goddamned insistent and self-righteous to the point of murderousness.
What's the word? Ah yes -  to show a degree of self-awareness.

Perhaps they should ridicule you, Soren?  You know, just to remind you that you shouldn't be taking yourself so seriously?   Roll Eyes

Ah yes. You've fixated upon the bit about "the point of murderousness".

Of course you have.

They may be "triffles" to you, Soren but I'm sure they take them very seriously indeed.  No one takes human life unnecessarily unless they are a sociopath, such as most Islamophobes appear to be...   Roll Eyes

Anyone who kills over cartoons and jokes (ie trifles) is a sociopath. Anyone, such as you, who defends such sociopaths is a squishy, spineless apologists.

You are so unmoored that you treat the noticing of Islamic murders over trifles as a worse thing ("Islamophobia", persecution of Muslims)  than the murders themselves because if the Muslims do not think that a Mohammed cartoon is a trifle and they think it's OK to murder because of them, then you are on their side because you would rather die than flatly say they are wrong to murder over what are, objectively, trifles.i

If you cannot see the very strong sociopathic tendencies within Islam, I suspect you are indulging in wishful thinking.
