I do not see any of those excuses being used for actions such at displayed by islamics.

I make no excuses for islamics. I give the reason.
Reasons are stated before the action is done and provoke the action.
Excuses are 'found' after the action to give cause for it.

the Islamic travel there to murder people.
that is their reason.
