You cannot possible think that what the Koran says (Mohammed's 'revelation') is a a final blueprint for all humanity. It a preposterous load of nonsense. it is simply incoherent nonsense.

On the basis of having opened the book, attempting to read it, reading it and then after 30-40-50 minutes looking up and saying:

"This is simply the most preposterous load of bewildered bollocks anyone has ever encountered."

And I am sure that this was EXACTLY your experience. There is no possibillty for any other intelligent human response. You are violating your own intelligence if you say that the Koran is a coherent, cohesive, inspiring and accessible book. It is not possible for an intelligent human being to read the Koran and not see it for the turgid, incoherent mish-mash it is.

What is amazing is that it is SO incoherent and yet so many people are happy to pretend it isn't.
