Yep.....and it was the Labor / Green defacto Govt that increased unemployment around 50%   


Unemployment increasing by only 2 percentage points during the height of GFC and was an amazingly good result.

The Liberals seeing it increase by 1 percentage point for no reason wasn't so good.


So the FACT that mining is in decline due to falling prices isn't a good reason?


At the peak mining only employed about 1.5% of the workforce in Australia, you need to make up a better excuse.

And made up a measly 6% of GDP whilst paying no more than 17c in the dollar tax , if we were lucky .

Now they are back to paying virtually no tax.

The moderate tax that the few best performers were expected to pay made little to no difference.

There were no socialists involved. Technically the most socialist government in Australia's recent past was run by a fellow named Howard.
