Deer hunting
Jul 9th, 2015 at 5:34pm

Lots of people claim Deer hunting is cruel, I guess this Deer didn't end up as the Bear's dinner from voluntary euthanasia

Shooting results in the quickest death-

Deer hunters usually harvest the meat and skins, a friend of mine got his first deer recently he said the hardest part was carrying 400m back to the ute.
Here is a video on butchering a deer,Venison is $28 kg in my local coles.

Deer are an introduced feral pest in Australia-
www.pestsmart.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/DEE001_ground-shooting-deer.pdf

Is it wrong to hunt deer if you are taking it home to eat and put in the freezer when they are an introduced pest in Australia?

I hope you're not going to start shooting humans and putting them in your freezer.

Does it take a certain amount of courage to use 800 years of technology against a defenseless animal?

Just curious.

No. As long as you're humane and don't waste the animal's carcass -- nothing wrong at all.

It is no worse than killing (or paying someone else to kill) cows, chickens or fish so that you can eat them.

Except that people working in abattoirs don't carry a six pack of beer with them, and they don't high-five each other when they kill an animal (or masturbate over the carcass).

People are allowed to hunt with Bows and Arrows or even use dogs to contain the animal so they can kill it with a knife.

Would peccahead prefer hunters use bows and arrows or even dogs to contain the animal before killing it with a knife, just curious?

I prefer to use a gun it results in a quicker death which means less pain and suffering for the animal.

dpi.nsw.gov.au/hunting/hunting-licences/restricted

The Rural Lands Protection act 1998 makes it a legal obligation for landowners to eradicate pests by any lawful method, I don't see how courage come into it when you have a legal obligation to eradicate pests.

Firearm users have had a legislated zero blood alcohol limit since 1996, of course hoplophobes like peccahead use lies and fear to demonise law abiding firearm owners.

The hoplophobe Rolande Browne from Gun Control Australia wants to increase the blood alcohol limit for shooters to 0.05 from the current zero blood alcohol.
Cheers Rolande.

Under the current legislation you cannot be in the possession of a firearm whilst under the influence of alcohol.

There you have it,shooters groups even oppose the hoplophobes suggestion blood alcohol limits for shooters should be increased from zero blood alcohol to 0.05%

Do you really think hunters like Christie Pisani masturbate over a carcass, what a profound level of ignorance you have.

We have blood alcohol limits on the road, too.

Are you suggesting that nobody ever drinks and drives?

Are you then being so naive as to suggest that nobody ever drinks and hunts?

You cannot be serious.

Laws are broken every single day in every other walk of life, except hunting?  Really?

How stupid are you?

Ah, this answers my question as to how stupid you are - you took 'masturbation' literally.

She poses for photos with dead animals, with a big smile on her face.  That's what I'd call masturbating over the carcass.

So, to recap: people working in abattoirs don't carry a six pack of beer with them, and they don't high-five each other when they kill an animal (or masturbate over the carcass).

The gun-nut lobby really needs to get some better people to promote their cause.  If you're the best they can come up with, they're in big trouble.

Do they confiscate your car for DUI?

Are you then being so naive as to suggest that nobody ever drinks and hunts?
If you get caught with alcohol they confiscate your guns and revoke your firearms licence, the law only mentions handling which means you cannot even legally clean your gun with any alcohol in your system.
No law abiding firearm owners touch alcohol and guns at the same time,an unwritten rule of shooting is guns and alcohol don't mix yet I don't expect idiotic hoplophobes like you to understand what you have irrational fears of.

You cannot be serious.

If you get a good behaviour bond for anything you lose your firearms licence and guns are confiscated, legal firearm owners obey all our laws.
You are profoundly ignorant of our firearm laws peccahead

no where near as stupid as your 26,000 posts that could only be done by an unemployable bum.

What is the gun lobby peccahead,is it anyone who points out irrational fears of hoplophobes like you?

You should ask the Police for numbers,at the recent senate inquiry the Police said licensed firearm owners are not a problem.

If a person with a firearms licence gets a good behaviour bond for anything they lose their firearms licence and guns are confiscated.

Having just one sip from a beercan is enough to have your guns confiscated and firearms licence revoked.

The hoplophobes like to tell lies in claiming shooters drink alcohol while shooting, they like to demonise all law abiding firearm owners.

Seriously, I've seen a lot of ignorant and naive members on this forum but nobody, and I mean nobody, comes close to you.

So, to recap: people working in abattoirs don't carry a six pack of beer with them, and they don't high-five each other when they kill an animal (or masturbate over the carcass).

Shooters don't carry a six pack of beer when hunting you are a liar and profoundly ignorant.

If a shooter is alone who does he high five to?

Shooters don't masturbate over a carcass.
