The maximum penalty is 5 years jail for handling a gun while under the influence of alcohol.
Can you name any other object that is legal to handle and use while sober yet carries a maximum of 5 years jail for touching after just half a can of  beer?

Item 64- Restrictions on alcohol and drugs
legislation.nsw.gov.au/maintop/view/inforce/act+46+1996+cd+0+N

The shooters groups all said they are happy with the current legislation for alcohol.

I don't know anyone who risks it

I see you dodged the question on naming any other object that is legal to handle when sober yet carries a maximum of 5 years jail for touching it without using it while under the influence of alcohol.

I think you are an idiot, with 26,000 posts of idiocy I am not here to feed your pathetic internet addiction so keep on topic or be ignored..

I don't know anyone who risks getting caught killing people.

In that case, using your ... well ... let's call it 'logic', murders don't happen.

To recap: people working in abattoirs don't carry a six pack of beer with them, and they don't high-five each other when they kill an animal (or masturbate over the carcass).

Time for the gun-nut lobby to send a new spokesperson - this one is failing miserably.

To recap, peccahead is a worthless troll who contributes nothing to the topic.

Peccahead sticks up for these slaughtermen who show us humane ways to kill Australian animals unlike hunters who take pride with instant single shot kills.

No. As long as you're humane and don't waste the animal's carcass -- nothing wrong at all.

It is no worse than killing (or paying someone else to kill) cows, chickens or fish so that you can eat them.

Except that people working in abattoirs don't carry a six pack of beer with them, and they don't high-five each other when they kill an animal (or masturbate over the carcass i.e. take happy smiling photos with the dead animal).

Back to the topic I will be ignoring peccahead.

A Port Stephens resident who was lucky to escape serious injury when his car collided with a feral deer is calling on state agencies to step in and fix what's being described as a growing problem.

The incident left the East Seaham resident shaken but uninjured-more than can be said for the deer-with a severely damaged car and a sense things could have been much worse.
The thing is it's not the first time, I dodged one about six months back in a different car.

And while deer are considered a pest in NSW- a spokesman for Hunter Water said the location of the deer said one option-culling-was not on the agenda.

What does this guy expect state agencies to do with these deer, who is going to pay for this, government culling is notorious for letting the meat rot where it falls.

From the burbs of Brisbane to the wilds of Barcaldine,Queensland it seems has a deer problem.

Minister for Primary Industries Tim Mulherin says the state has 30,000 deer which carry ticks, cause car accidents and damage grazing land.
He has invited Queenslanders to have their say on a new strategy to manage feral deer in 20 locations from Charters Towers in the North to the NSW border.

The answer is simple-shoot them and eat them.

A couple of boys at work do some deer stalking, can't wait for the BBQ ' s.  Great sport, 90% of the enjoyment comes from the stalk, the other 25% from sharing the spoils and the retelling of yarns.

Whiny ass do gooders would prefer to pump their podgy same sex companions no doubt in between being fearless keyboard socialists. Wonder how the do gooders are going pulling the bloated shark mauled remnants of humans for  the Italian beaches....or maybe they just bash away on their keyboards....expecting others to clean up their 'accidents happen, tragedies happen' ....

Simplistic economics, Baron.  By placing an economic value on the subject you place an incentive on their continued existence and breeding, for hunting from which the State makes money.

If you were really interested in their elimination you would fund biological research to find a Myxomatosis like biological control agent.  Yet you don't.  You prefer to show how manly and tough you by paying for a license to hunt the fell beast.    Roll Eyes

Exactly.

Takes quite a bit of courage to hunt a defenseless deer with 800 years of technology backing you up, and a couple of beers.
