Longy's challenge.

Housekeeping.

This Thread was moved to here by freediver at about 9.00 pm on the 16th July, 2015 from where it was commenced in the General section.  Mod.

The original concept was that those who chose to be part of it would write an article on a topic THEY chose.  My choices were pro-gay marriage or pro climate change.  You deliberately went out of your way to choose a topic i could not ever morally support.  I know that in your amoral world the idea of having a line you will not cross doesnt occur to you, but the rest of us do.

I am still waiting for a candidate willing to take on this challenge seriously and without the intervention of an idiot like you.

It is a very simple challenge with very simple rules and to date... without a taker other than me.

Of course you're worthy. Anyone who posts here is free to join in.

I've got Bill Shorten. Maybe you'd like to do gay incest.

What subject do you pick, Longy?

Yes, but Longy doesn't like children. He loves writing - he's that good.

By the way melielongtime, there will be no doubt that I will be the author of my piece.  I have an unmistakable style when doing those sort of things.  It is a poor man's version of John O'Grady/Nino Culotta as those who knew and read my "A Cabbies Day" way back at Political Animal when it was worth supporting~ will attest.  FD still has that material somewhere.

Good point. I think we should make one rule - there has to be a distinctive word or phrase in there. I think Longy's should have at least one IDIOT.

Gay Marriage - something I am well known as opposing.

and now let's see if Aussie has the courage to write on something he actually opposes.  Since he was so happy to give out topics let's see him support Gay INcest!  or to be fairer (something the denies others) he could write a passionate defence of the LNP.

happy now Aussie?  or are you going to run?

Ah.  But I thought melielongtime is now saying that he will only play if he can hand pick the other participants.  He has already dismissed you.  I think he is running scared there.  Do you think I'll measure up to his standards?  Who else?  After all, as you often remind us, he is that good.  I think Abbot is working on a plan of deification for him, or at least Life Membership of The Knights Templar.

Well, melielongtime?

and yours should have a detailed attempt at humour that fails. Aussie of course should mention Clive Palmer (along with lovehearts and perhaps a friendship band)

Not at all.  I'll take 'supporting gay incest.'  I've already written and posted the backbone of that essay.

Are you moving the goal posts again?  So now you are happy to write a piece supporting an issue that you personally oppose.  Can I pick your topic for you, just like you did for me, and I immediately accepted?

then tell us what it is.  REmember it is supposed to be something you vehemently oppose, not another of your vendettas.
