AIDS isn't a "gay disease".

There are multiple forms of HIV, some of which are predominantly heterosexually transmitted.

It's amazing how little people actually know about this disease yet all claim to be experts.

And it bears repeating that AIDS isn't transferable at all. Too many people make this mistake. HIV is.

Depends on the group and clade of HIV. Some are primarily heterosexual transmission.

Nobody on here has ever said it's a gay disease Mothballs. It's just overrepresented in the gay community.

AFAO website- In 2015:

68% of transmissions occurred among men who have sex with men

For a tiny percentage of the Australian population this is an alarming statistic.

Breast cancer is a womans disease, but a very small number of men can get it. It is still called a woman's disease.

AIDS is a gay disease because they are 33 times more likely than straights to get it. Ergo... it is called the 'gay disease'.
