Of course the luvvies point to Africa as a why of discrediting the 'aids is a gay disease' statement. There's very little in the way of statistics regarding aids and homosexuality in Africa. Homosexuality is illegal in many African countries. For that reason many gay man either say they are heterosexual or either don't seek treatment. Don't doubt for a second that the spread of aids through homosexual sex in Africa is greatly underreported.

No worries, Homo. Now you can show how the majority of HIV transmissions in Africa are spread by the hommers.

Should be easy - there is probably more research on this topic than any other epidemiological phenomenon.

Some subgroups infect through vaginal sex more readily but the major factor in MSM transmission is anal vulnerability.

HIV-1 M subtype B, for example, shows lesser infection rates amongst IDUs than other subgroups.

If there's any effect here, it's insignificant compared to social variables like the link I posted, other untreated STIs etc etc.

I didn't write that, kArNAL. I wrote that the transmission of aids by homosexuals in Africa is undoubtedly underreported. Do you disagree?
