The next challenge... Speech Writing
Jul 16th, 2015 at 7:49pm

Housekeeping.

This Thread was moved to here by freediver at about 9.00 pm on the 16th July, 2015 from where it was commenced in the General section.  Mod.

There have been some memorable speeches over the years. Some are tied to momentous events. "I have a dream..." and "We will fight them on the beaches.." come easily to mind.

So perhaps the next challenge to you wordsmiths is to write a speech, as long or as short as you need. See of you can top the worlds best.

so, Karnal, Aussie, Pecca?  any of you game?

Sure, why not.  At least everyone will know I wrote my offering.  It will be so pathetic.

Do I get to pick my own topic or do you get to do that.  Not that I care one way or the other.

BUT.....if you pick mine, I get to pick yours.

write your own. choose your own topic and 'audience'. as long or as short as you want.  Make your readers believe you. Sell them a narrative they can embrace and believe in.

All of the above, if you like.  But it will be all mine and there will be no fakir Professors born of the imagination of someone other than yourself.

He only does that for the first week.

When he’s finally finished squirming, he does a quick google and voila.

Rosa Parks and William Wilberforce.

And he still doesn’t know who Rosa Parks was.

I wrote a song about Rosa.

Maybe Triple J played it.

Longy’s next trick is a quick cut and paste of Martin Luther King.

He’s that good.

You're so lame, Karnal.  I expected stupidity but not this pitiful crap you are dealing now. You sound rather embararssing.

I look forward to reading your speech.  Or I would except that now you know what you are up against I suspect you will bail on me.

I'm correct right?
