Uh-Oh the voters must have missed the memo
Jul 20th, 2015 at 11:29pm

Quote:
the latest Newspoll result has Labor’s two-party lead at 53-47, up from 52-48 a fortnight ago, from primary votes of 40% for the Coalition (steady), 39% for Labor (up two) and 12% for the Greens (down one).

http://blogs.crikey.com.au/pollbludger/2015/07/20/newspoll-53-47-to-labor-6/

Hey Australian voters - haven't you heard?? The royal commission is smashing labor, Shorten's in disarray and Tony has a spring in his step. No? You mean you didn't get that memo?  Grin

Poor Tony - the voters just don't play fair.

Further proof that the polls are consolidating around a solid 52/53 TPP lead for labor after a brief recovery for the libs from catastrophic to merely bad.

Also further proof that the preferred PM rating is a pretty meaningless measure.

No, he'll do one of two things: hide under a rock whenever the polls move away from the Coalition, or denounce it as a "rogue poll".  Grin

For a bit of context, Bob Hawke won the 1983 election with a 2PP of 53.2%-46.8%.

The latest 'trend' is that the Coalition have barely managed to win a small handful of polls since the last Federal Election - and certainly none in the last year

Abbott's ongoing support of attempted public purse theft by members of his party can't be helping things

The polling reflects the only obstacle and any tangible progress with the Libs  is the PM himself.

Actually zero since about January 2014. They managed to level in one a couple of months back. They have now settled in to a solid 52/53 lead for Labor. Which is quite incredible really, when you think of all the media hype about lacklustre Shorten, the royal commission and Tony having a spring in his step.

All that money wasted on a RC that was supposed to nail Shorten and destroy the Labor Party.

Libs=wastrels.

that's because people don't vote GOVERNMENTS IN, they vote GOVERNMENTS OUT.

Shorten bought the RC to a head by attending early, he could have delayed it for a few months but he knew it would reflect badly and affect his immediate numbers. He also knew that if he went in early, that by the time Abbott calls an election the libs would have made so many more blunders that any concerns over him would be overlooked by a large portion of the voting public.

It was the same with Gillard, no matter how bad Abbott looked before the election (and if you are honest you have to admit he looked terrible, he had no polices, he promised no cuts to anything while delivering a surplus etc) it didn't' matter. People were determined to get rid of the sitting government.

".. Hey ho He ho: Bronwyn Bishop has to go; Hey ho Hey ho..." !!!

Who wants their clever country back? Then demand a royal commission into copper-internet-gate from Bill Shorten when he wins the election that should be called today!

Shocked Shocked

The writing is on the wall for Abbott and his lemmings, even the liberal MP's staffers are starting to jump ship
