Yes.  of course it does...

Interesting graphic. Seems to go to 2010. Seems to show 1998 as the hottest year evah. Basically tracking sideways since.

You really are clueless aren't you?

Or are you just Longweekend posting under another name?

and yet we are entering out 18th year of no warming.

Can you source that?  Because I'm pretty sure that is incorrect.

It is incorrect now that the margin of error has been reduced to zero.  Grin

'Box 9.2: Climate Models and the Hiatus in Global-Mean Surface Warming of the Past 15 Years
The observed global-mean surface temperature (GMST) has shown a much smaller increasing linear trend over the past 15 years than over the past 30 to 60 years (Section 2.4.3, Figure 2.20, Table 2.7; Figure 9.8; Box 9.2 Box 9.2 Figure 1a,c).'

'Hiatus periods of 10–15 years can arise as a manifestation of internal decadal climate variability, which sometimes enhances and sometimes counteracts the long-term externally forced trend. Internal variability thus diminishes the relevance of trends over periods as short as 10–15 years for long-term climate change (Box 2.2, Section 2.4.3).'

http://www.climatechange2013.org/images/uploads/WGIAR5_WGI-12Doc2b_FinalDraft_Ch...

So the hiatus is the change in the trend.  If we compare the trend 1979-1998 to 1998-current; the trend has changed. there is an hiatus. The IPCC admits to this. There have been over 50 papers attempting to explain this.

Apparently natural variation can explain the hiatus, but can't explain any speed up in climate change; it is a one way only variation. (Sarc)

Then of course if we look at the early 20th century warming trend 1918-40 (approx), the trend is very similar. But IPCC says CO2 only caused the spike in the second half of the century. What caused the early 20th century warming?

Record Cold And Snow Destroy Global Warming Claims

Yet another bitterly cold, snowy winter is destroying alarmist global warming claims, proving once again that over-the-top global warming predictions are proving no more scientifically credible than snake oil.

Depends which side of the fence you are sitting Wink

I'm in Malaysia at the moment and it's as hot as hell. Europe is experiencing a heatwave like no other !! There is no mini ice age here sorry to say. Global warming and extreme weather events are happening as predicted by the science !!

1998 was an exceptionally hot el nino year. That is why the deniers always start their graphs from there. They dishonestly cherry pick their data.

last year eclipsed 1998 and this year is well on the way to being hotter yet. However it is the long term trend that is important. Not cherry picked graphs.

Actually, what they do is start at the present and work backwards to find when the divergence begins.

But conspiracy theorists have to keep making new or repeating old conspiracies.

google australian snow depth by year.
Then explain how that doesn't correlate with global warming.

Got a reliable source for the figures?

Time to bring out that rubbish graph again

you mean EVERY surface temperature graph?  EVERY SINGLE ONE??  the jerks on here regularly bring out temperature graphs that end at 2000 and yell 'ta da'!!!  or slightly better, produce a graph from 1850 and fail to notice the far end where temperatures are NOT rising.

So bring out any graph you want. they all say the same thing.

Don't you like giving sources?  Wink Wink

You mean they don't look for 30 year trends?  Cheesy Cheesy

30 years is WMO period for climate. A trend does not need 30 years to show. Of course you are free to disagree with the IPCC. I have no problems with that.
