For all the policeman knew he was a serial killer on the FBI's 'Most Wanted' list.

Being a serial killer on the FBI's 'Most Wanted' list doesn't justify the summary execution of an unarmed man.

Who would complain? The public? Statistically, the FBI says that at any one time in America there are around 24 serial killers operating across the nation.

That's one hell of a frightening statistic.

Oh well, summary execution seems entirely appropriate then.

Keep on trollin', Herbie   Wink

Why didn't you mention the fact that this black 'Usual Suspect' broke all of five laws during this little frack-arse?

Quite simple - the amount of laws he broke is completely irrelevant.

Even if he broke 500 laws, it does not justify summary execution.

Keep on trollin', Herbs.

You appear to be troll Greg, you have only read the headlines from the media and do not know the full story but have made a judgement based on headlines.

You appear to be are an ignoramus, Steamboat.

"A University of Cincinnati police officer was indicted Wednesday on murder charges in the fatal shooting last week of an unarmed black motorist who was stopped because of a missing front license plate."

"I've been doing this for 30 years," Deters said after meeting with Dubose's family. "This is the most asinine act I've ever seen a police officer make, totally unwarranted."

"Tensing "should never have been a police officer," he said without elaborating."

Next time, you should think before you post.

So why are they having a trial and not just putting the officer in prison?.

What is the impression this deceitful writing is supposed to convey to the public?

It's the notion that this black Usual Suspect was shot because he had a missing licence plate.

And that's just not true.

He finally got shot after committing a series of FIVE law infringements with the last one with him attempting to flee the scene.

How many laws can an unarmed citizen break before they're summarily executed, Herbie?

This is where the problem will explode, people like greg have made up their minds based on a few headline grabs giving one side of the argument and the court will hear all the evidence so there is a distinct possibility that the conclusions will be different.

No, it's not.

Read the story, Herbie.

He was shot because the cop carried out "the most asinine act I've ever seen a police officer make".

Tensing "should never have been a police officer."

He was shot because the police officer was an incompetent halfwit.

Something a few of you in here can easily relate to.

Why is it that all of a sudden we have an awful lot of forum members here defending alleged murderers & rapists?

And why is it that they are all supporters of the right?

Why do Abbott supporters turn a blind eye to murder and rape?

You're failing to read my posts carefully.

What 'Tensing' says is entirely his own subjective opinion. I couldn't give a rat's arse what he thinks.

And nowhere did I say I condone this killing. If you spent less time trolling and more time contemplating the details of what I've been saying you might not be tripping over your feet with your replies to me.

Don't you think that this police officer should have a fair hearing into the matter instead of being found guilty on the back of a prosecutors headline grabbing remarks. Are you suggesting that a media beatup of the story is enough evidence to imprison someone.

Interesting you comment that only Abbott supporters would be in favour of due process.

With every new post you make, you're making yourself look an even bigger fool.

I suggest that you go back and actually read the story.

"A body camera video that Deters played for reporters showed Tensing stopped Dubose for a missing front license plate. Dubose failed to provide a driver's license as Tensing requested then tried to prevent Tensing, who told Dubose to take his seat belt off, from opening the car door.

"The car started slowly rolling forward as Tensing reached in and yelled for him to stop. The officer then pulled his gun and fired once, killing Dubose.

"Deters said Tensing was not dragged by the car, as the officer had reported, but instead he fell backwards after shooting Dubose in the head. Deters said Tensing should have let Dubose drive away as he had his license plate number already."

Absolutely.

Nobody in this thread has suggested otherwise.

Nice diversion tactic, though.

Roll Eyes

Surely it couldn't be because the police unfairly target black people and black communities on huge magnitude and there is a long history of even when black communities reach out to the police, they get backstabbed and these issues have caused black people have become wary and distrustful of law enforcement for centuries of brutal discrimination that continues to this day.

No surely that can't play any part in it.
