I watched the video and a very jumpy cop lost his nerve. I don't think it was heartless murder. Why would a cop do that?? His career is gone, he's a target in jail and he's on camera. But he should pay for his mistake.  America is at war with guns and street crime and you are not out there fighting it so you really don't understand.

Greg your take is the cop just walked up and shot the black person for no reason.

You cant quite grasp the fact that the video evidence shows the police asking for the drivers licence and the black person not being able to produce it. The cop then tried to open the door and the black person resisted by holding the door closed and reached under the dash (to start the car) and drove off while the cop was trying to restrain him. We don't know how or why the gun went off, did he pull it out thinking he was in danger and the car hit the gun causing it to fire. Did he try to fire a warning shot and the momentum of the car put the black guy in the line of fire, did he just point it and fired. We don't know, all we know is the black guy resisted the cop and tried to flee.

No.  I've watched the video and read the story.

The driver was an idiot who broke the law, and nobody in this thread has said or suggested anything to the contrary.

However, breaking five laws and being an idiot doesn't justify summary execution of an unarmed citizen.

So what did the defence claim happened, you have read the prosecutors claim, can you tell us what the cop said about it.



"Tensing's attorney, Stew Mathews, told Fox 19 television in Cincinnati that his client was being "thrown under the bus" by the prosecutor and the school. A second video will show more of the incident, he said, according to Fox 19."

You've been lucky today. Two of my more lengthy and cutting posts have disappeared into The Void today because I hit the wrong button - and nothing I did could bring them back. Not the Back button or the 'History' tab in the Menu Bar. Sweet FA will bring back a post that has been lost because you checked with Google on a detail before posting it - but hit the wrong button when trying to return from the Google page.

Then look at how close the Policeman was to the parked car and black mark on the road when he got to his feet, how did he get there?

I would have said thrown under the car but that's just me.
