Nope.
They were all given the opportunity to disown the betrayal and repledge their loyalty to their city.
But here's a timely analogy:
do you support the bombing of Hiroshima? Did all the little kiddies that were burnt alive in an instant get an individual trial?
But more importantly, do you believe that anyone who does believe it was justified can also be a proponent of peace and tolerance? Personally I think it was wicked terrorism, but I don't doubt the sincerity of anyone who has a different perspective.
And don't bring in the "oh but the hiroshima bombers were not the founders and prophets of their religion" argument - its still a valid analogy to use.
'Hiroshima' and 'Nagasaki' are estimated to have saved countless more lives than died in these bombings - both Japanese and allies.
I somehow doubt the ISIS and other Islam-inspired slaughterings we've been witnessing these past few years has had anything to do with saving lives.
Avoiding being honest in order to give a spurious 'credibility' to a pet notion of yours does not become you, gandalf. It really is time you divested yourself of this penchant for 'taqiyyah' whenever you find yourself being painted into a corner by your opponents.
"... little kiddies .... ". Please, spare us such cheap, tear-jerking propagandising.
Countless parents both Japanese and American had their sons come home to them only as a result of those strategic bombings.
'Terrorism' indeed. Improve your game, please, gandalf.
