I know the Russians did it and may still do. I know that there are women combat pilots and on warships. But I just don't think combat infantry is the place for women. Call me what you like.

Why not?

If they can pass the physicals, why not?

If men can pay the membership fees at curves or fernwood, why shouldnt they be accepted as members?

Well one reason I can think of is that it may endanger the lives of their comrades.

Think what you like in this world of upturned values, but I still think deep down men, most men, have a genetic disposition to be protective of women. This instinct could lead to situations where they would take actions not dictated by combat protocols and place other lives at risk.
