Our oven and cooktop are induction. Weve been using them for a year now and cant fault them. Theyre almost instantly at the temperature you need and they have additional safety features which are important with kids in the house.

I can't do this, but I'm doing it anyway.

If you've got the money Lisa, why not look at induction? Good for when kids are around too.

Gas ovens are great for suicide. That is how Syliva Plath killed herself.  You aren't thinking about suicide are you Lisa?

Thanks everyone for your input.

Yeterday, I bought an electric free standing stove/oven (for one of our rental properties).

Why electric?

Easier to keep clean.

I was able to negotiate a good deal.

Next day free delivery also helped.

Oh and I also bought us a new electric kettle.  I used the 1st purchase to help me get a good deal for the 2nd item.

Not easy with 2 kids touching everything in site.

Came home with a shocker of a migraine  Cry

If I let myself be bought then I am no longer free.
