Re Aussie, he is, as you can see, very unwell.

Everyone who has read through this topic from day 1 can see Aussie's very agitated trolling of this topic, after closing down a similar topic in The Tavern for the same reason.

You will also see recurring attempts by Aussie in victim blaming, minimizing, trivializing and marginalizing DV issues.

Now...after 35 pages, he's suddenly remembered he has set up many women's refuges. Really guys..... Roll Eyes

The awkward reality however is this : He is a perpetrator, a failure, a liar and ....a cab driver.

And as such, he needs help. Lots of it.

Probably best to ignore, report, post over.

That way, we can all get on with the topic.

My mother stabbed me once and abandoned us all..our father neglected us nigh unto death (I nearly died of double pneumonia at 14, and NONE of We Four had shoes for school, books and even warm blankets and clothes for winter - my sister after myself and I between us had THE two highest IQs in our school - yet have struggled for a basic existence), and intermittently beat my brother (who eventually died as a result of his schizophrenia and paranoia derived from his upbringing) and I, while neglecting our two sisters to the point that they have no self esteem and no moral and social compasses, and no idea of what a REAL MAN was.

None of you can tell me about Family Violence and neglect and abuse.... and yet - I will say again - my children NEVER were beaten, neglected, abused, or left in any way without anything, and both earned scholarships to a private secondary college.

No person, in any situation or from any background, can justify abuse and neglect or violence towards family and their very own ... family is all we have.. and the best thing I ever did was to divorce mine......

That's the ending of my book about my childhood and upbringing.... and there was never one reason on this Earth for any of it....

There is no moral excuse for violence in the family home. Victims of lethal domestic violence are overwhelmingly women and children. Making excuses to justify poor behaviour is pathetic in any situation, but blindingly so in this case.

I am blessed to be in an emotionally and physically safe relationship and I am incredinly grateful for that.

When I was younger, I was in a violent relationship. I went to hospital many times with head injuries from being kicked in the head with steel capped boots. I have a scar on by back from being stabbed. I spent 3 days locked in a cupboard.

None of the men here offering excuses for violence against women have a clue what theyre talking about. Nagging? LOL. I spent a year almost too afraid to breathe. Desktop warriors who havent a fresh idea between them.

None of the men here????

What men???

Domestically, I would say that violence is most often initiated by females. Some men have not enough self control and they retaliate.
