Tesla

Their new Model D is absolutely nuts

I just watched a video where one obliterated a V8 Supercar. It won EASY. A standard road car.

I'd put up the video but I watched it on a friends mobile and I haven't got time to go find the video link now. Maybe later.

In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

Thanks Bojack

and for those who are wondering ... if that's the sort of car Holden and Ford had spent the last 10 years working on, they'd be here for another 50 yrs. Instead off making the same cars they were making 40 yrs ago.

Because Holden could sell $150,000 family cars so easily. The Tesla is available now in Australia and has anyone even seen one 'in the flesh'?

They might be great cars but they are very very expensive and the ability to beat a V8 Super Car doesn't make any impact on the legions of mums and dads wanting a car to transport two kids and the weeks shopping from here to there.

I am sure they are a good looking car. The point is that for the average buyer, its performance is pointless since you cannot even use half the power of current cars much of the time. Who wants to pay $100K for a car that a $30K one will do just as well as a family car.

What car are you referring to at $37K?  THAT might actually get a marketplace as long as it isn't a micro-car with one seat.

We are talking about a car that is in a similar price range to the  Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne, VW Touareg, BMW X5 or X6, and the Volvo XC90.

Yes, the technology is interesting, but the Tesla will have to be a lot more affordable before it becomes anything more than a rich person's toy.

Like Clive Palmer!  They look great and my hubby probably would like one, but they really are very expensive and what do they do that a Camry can't in suburbia other than turn heads?

Never thought of that. It's a good point!  Wow, he is one seriously crazy person. I think he believes dinosaurs still exist.

comparing one to a camry is like comparing your posties delivery bike to a Ducati Diavel

But I never here you complain about paying 300K for a fossil fool car that still emits toxic gases from its exhaust pipe !!!
