tesla isn't catering to ALL markets you idiot.... you don't claim BMW will go broke because you can't drive it off road, do you?

Tesla will initially appeal to those driving mostly to work and back, plus a little shopping in between. It won't appeal to everyone. As technology improves and it's technology enables it to do more, it's market will broaden. The model T Ford didn't suit everyone when it first came out. Didn't mean Ford went bust now did it?

I recently drove from Sydney to Dubbo and back (with a bit of additional driving around Dubbo and Orange) without refuelling and I still had a quarter of a tank of petrol when I got home - in a car about the third of the cost of the base model S.

I am not denying that electric cars are probably going to be the cars of the future, but we're not there yet.

We are getting very close though Wink

According to the dude at Tesla showroom in Chadstone Vic he told me that there are already enough super charging stations between Melb and Sydney to make the journey without running out of juice Wink

Tesla is expanding its operations world wide whereas Holden and Ford are closing down here. They took tens of billions from us under false pretenses Sad

woopee.  sydney to melbourne... ONE ROAD.  what about to brisbane or adelaide and what about perth not to mention the rest of australia?

Another one of longloser's aka maria's failed predictions of never being able to recharge an electric car faster than filling up a fossil fool car. Battery swap technology has made this possible of course but here's actual proof of recharging two Tesla cars in less time than it takes to fill up a fossil fool car !! And to top it off maria wants to get involved with innovation Cheesy LOL

even a fool like you should be able to tell the difference between RECHARGING and SWAPPING a battery. or are you really that much of a drongo?

bought a tesla yet, liar-nail?

and you said the wait was the reason that nobody would buy EV's. You didn't count on Tesla providing the recharges for nothing did you, you f.ucking idiot.

bought one yourself yet poverty-nail?

of course not.

Is that your best comeback after all of these years of your failed prediction and rhetoric against EV's ?

You really are quite pathetic you Ford dickhead  !!

what failed predictions, renter-nail?  There are still virtually no EVs on the road and none of them other than the Tesla have anything better than pitiful range. and the tesla is still limited. and they are all very expensive.

I predicted thet they would take off when they became viable for the bulk of the population. at the moment, they are not.

Your failed prediction that Tesla would not be successful in the market place or no one would buy any here because you said they were too expensive. Wrong again longloser !!

Just give it up longloser.

In time they will install super charging stations across the nation. Those are the super charging stations that you said were not feasible !! Just another one of your failed predictions as usual !!

Longy is forgetting that most people don't drive long distances &

technology far short of the Tesla car & much cheaper would suffice.

Yes you would. Don't under estimate the range of this car with the proper charging infrastructure. Just another one of longlosers failed predictions among many !!

Oslo to London (1200 miles) for €5 | Fully Charged

He used this as his main argument against EV's but Tesla has proven him wrong once again. Range anxiety is a thing of the past with the Tesla Model S Cheesy LOL

whats the point of a $100K car if you cant take it on ANY trip?  it is only suitable for the rich as an extra car for when it suits them. It is useless as a family car.

you're an idiot. $100k car? they're 80k and next year they're bringing out a model expected to be in the mid 30's to 40k.  Most families these days have two cars anyway .. it is suitable for anyone who doesn't drive long distances. If your a long distance trucker, Teslas probably not going to suit you anyway now is it?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy.

when you buy one come and tell us but we know that wankers like you NEVER do that. you are type kickers.  if you ahve TWO cars a tesla might be one of them but thats still a pretty lousy effort for a near $100K car.

when are you buying one... never?

The 0-100 in 5.9 top speed 289 classic Ford GT?

It is appreciating in value on a daily basis.

Nearly everyone who buys a Tesla model S nearly always use  it as their main car. They get used to the free fuel and almost non existent service charges and never look back. Who wouldn't except you of course !! They relegate the old clunker as the emergency backup car Wink
