The V8 supercar is a difficult car to get off the line without wheelspin, it's not setup for drag racing because it has to go around corners as well.

The tesla has traction control.

The V8 supercar is not used for Drag racing, lots of V8's can smoke the Tesla any drag racing meet will have the slowest V8's blowing away the Tesla.

The Tesla would be thrashed by the V8 around a racetrack, the V8 will handle better because it's lighter and goes about 50KPH faster with top speed.

we buy around a million cars a year in this country. tesla got 0.05% and tesla is losing money because it cant sell enough and they arent making enough on each unit and cant raise the prices.

teslas are great but they are only a niche product because EVs as they currently are are doomed to be niche
