I have already been critical of them it is just that nobody is desperately trying to defend them.

So let me get your 'train of thought'. You attack Turnbull for something both legal and ethical and exceptionally commonplace and then criticise people for defending him?

That is more than a little desperate and rather pitiful.

I would question how ethical or common place it is for Australians to be involved in tax avoidance via the Cayman's.

Not everything legal is ethical especially when we are talking about the PM.

Tax avoidance? I know you struggle with facts not to your liking, but neither Turnbull, super funds or the Future Fund is avoiding tax. Simply being domiciled in the Cayman Islands does not make it a tax dodge. That's the belief of simpletons and ignorants aka Bill Shorten and you.

They need to make out it is illegal so they can get more tax to pay for bludging simpletons and ignorants and blow ins living off our welfare system.

There is no evidence of the existence of a muslim, mohammed,or quran until 60 years  after mohammed was supposed to have died. Grin Grin Grin Posting on islam just encourages them and is a waste of time.

Thanks, Homo. Malcolm must invest there for all that rum and pirate gold then.

Ahar!
It's fine pointing out Turnball as being a richo. Don't overlook Rudd and his wife though. Even Paul Keating. Didn't Rudd's wife made a packet from the importation of cheap Labor from the 3rd world straight into her recruitment company?

There are many ways for you to be ignorant and you seem to want to try them all.  The income from investments is sent to Australia... Get that bit yet? It comes HERE and is taxed HERE.

By the way, the Future Fund and all super funds do the same thing.

A dope would have read the article and worked that out themselves.

Right, if you want to believe that rubbish

By the way, the Future Fund and all super funds do the same thing.

Super funds by investing in tax free entities maintain their tax exempt status.

Super funds are tax-free entities are they?  That would be news to them - and everyone else.

How pitiful is that you now resort to fabricating claims in the hope that the stupid will accept it.

Envy is an ugly beast and you have it in spades.

I didn't think you would make me specify for superannuation income streams.

I made the silly assumption that you actually knew something.

Superannuation income streams are tax free no matter where they are by AUSTRALIAN LAW, not by virtue of where they are located.  Are you aware that ANY income you receive no matter where from is subject to Australian law if you are a citizen and resident?

Give it up DNA. You are looking sillier by the post. Even the political commentators are mocking labor for this stellar screwup.  Turnbull looks good while Shorten looks like a fool as well as a hypocrite.

The stream to the person is - the investment by the provider isn't. Investing in a tax protected manner maintains the tax free status end to end.

The more the MSM try to bury this the more it is discussed and disseminated.

Malodorous is the hypocrite, dodging both metadata retention and Australian tax. That message is getting through.

No. ALL OF THEM. They are all commenting on what a pitiful and pointless display it was. Imagine how dumb it was for Shorten to attack Turnbull for having investments in the Caymens when HE HAD THEM - along with half his front bench/

Stupid is as stupid does.

After reading Anne Davies article in the Herald where she stated Australia has a tax sharing agreement with the Cayman Islands which increases Australias ability to collect due taxes Labor should drop this issue like a hot potato.

Especially as the trust is not Australian.  Cheesy

Plenty of new angles of attack for next week. Not much talent on the Lib front bench.

I'm not sure what the point is Shorten even said in a quick press conference after question time "We are not saying Malcolm has done anything illegal'' Malcolm is too smart to hide his finances from the ATO he has little to gain and a lot to lose.

Watching Turnbull in question time he looks very calm and confident, I don't know why Labor aren't pushing hard on FTTN I this is vastly inferior compared to FTTP.The rotting and inefficient copper plan is a complete disaster.

The only impression that 'got out there' was that Shorten was a fool. Turnbull came out well and truly on top as Laurie Oakes reported.
