... and not once was she voted in by the people of this country. Her first time as PM was as a result of knifing Rudd, the sitting PM at the time. Her second time as PM was solely as a result of Bob Brown's support in return for her breaking her key election promise not to introduce a carbon tax. Yeah, I wouldn't be too proud of her having served longer than Abbott with her record as PM being as dismal and riddled with failure.

Scoot gets everything 180° wrong again.

Gillard was one of our great PMs and will be remembered as such long after Howard and abbott are forgotten. That is what is really griping the braindead rightards here.

Our best PM ever, John Curtin, was also a Labor PM.

John Howard was a drunk. Only an idiot would say Malcolm was unflappable.

I'd be interested in a plebosite on the popularity of JH v JG.
Wink Wink Wink Wink.

malcolm seems more stable then JG.

"I  will not be lectured by that man !!!!, said with viscousness rarely seen in our parliament before....how emotional, how unbecoming !!! Wink

Poor Libturds, faced with poor PMs they have to go after a Labor PM to hide the fact their PMs have been crap.

Fraser, did nothing for eight years, despite control of the Senate.

Howard—fed a boom, pissed $350Bn boom time revenues up against the wall, privatised Telstra as a monopoly. His pork and wealthfare built into the Budget with Costello’s now unaffordable tax cuts are the cause of the record deficits and debt.

abbott, did not formulate any policies, with his Treasurer hokey destroyed what confidence there was in the heavily indebted private sector.

Turncoat—is continuing abbott’s “policies” so will be no better but will explode at some time, revealing his true character and his temper, so even Scoot can’t fail to see what an insecure persom Turncoat is.

I'd say malcolm is possibly the most "secure" person to ever enter parliament.
the guy doesnt need the dough, he has great and proper self esteem due to his awesome success.
I would think for malcolm like many great rightards , its about a sense of 'contribution"

Surely you can see that people like Gates and Jobs didnt need the money.
Jobs even kept contributing when he was dying of cancer.

what inspirational people the successful business people are.
something for us all to aspire to be.

i would hope you put a poster of malcolm on your bedroom wall monk to meditate on when you are trying to self-actualise

Cods,
leftards are like anxious young horses that desperately need training.
Please dont get angry at them, it will result in a fight or flight response.
Try and encourage even the smallest "try"
If a leftard can just get a little glimmer of the joy of walking the rightard path , then we can bring them over to the fold.
I have had unruly brumbies that i felt like giving up on but the rightard must persevere,  Persistence is a rightard value.
When a leftard is misbehaving, people like you and i need to call on our deep empathy and try to be

kind
encouraging
challenging.

Not all leftards will remain permanently lost.
Many will become fiscally conservative as they get older and see the great damage done by the leftard philosophy.   i always think of retired rich self actualised men like hawke and keating and latham who eventually repented of their sins and turned on those who they had previously been in group think with

Gillard was one of the most unpopular and divisive PMs this country ever had. She was also never once voted in by the people.

The trouble is, you just sit and read old self help books and don’t even understand what you read. The Turnbull temper is well known. He is insecure because his mother left when he was still a boy and some say (not saying I endorse this) that everything he has done and achieved (and he has, a fair bit, including betrayal of employers) is to impress his absent mother.

But unflappable only when things go his way. You should get out in the real world a bit, Scoot. You are a very ignorant person.

hahahaha that stung, did it?  Grin Grin Grin

So, what were the major successes of the Fraser govt?

You don’t believe Howard’s profligacy is still buggering up economic management even now? We are spending $56Bn (and growing) to fix up the mistake of privatising Telstra as a monopoly, the tax exemptions on super which mostly benefit the 20% on highest incomes cost as much as the age pension this financial year and will exceed it in 2016/7 and increase rapidly thereafter.

What I said was truth. Obviously, uncomfortable truths for two people who never think deeply about politics and never read outside the Daily Toilet.

good grief.
His mother leaves when he is a young boy and instead of being a cry-baby or taking up petty crime, he goes on to be the prime minister and YOU see this as taking a "flawed" path in life to try and impress an absent mother.

I do believe you require a psychologist more urgently then malcolm.

Why do the left see success as failure?
So much retraining required.  Cheesy Cheesy

No PM in Australia has ever been voted in by the people.

However, in August 2010 the Labor Party formed Government, after a general election, with Juliar Gillard as their leader.
