The term 'stalk' or 'stalking.'
Oct 22nd, 2015 at 10:03am

It gets thrown around here with gay abandon but it is obvious people have no idea what it actually means.  This is the forensic definition, and comes from a landmark case in Queensland:

To stalk there must be

Quote:
(a) a willed act by the perpetrator,

(b) which intrudes upon the privacy or seclusion of the victim,

(c) in a manner which would be considered highly offensive to a reasonable person of ordinary sensibilities,

(d) and which causes the victim detriment in the form of mental psychological or emotional harm or distress or which prevents or hinders the victim from doing an act which they are lawfully entitled to do.

So, perhaps those who have been misusing the term, need a replacement word.

I think it's remarkable how a passive aggressive stalker like Aussie is online, desperately trying to figure out if he's breached a particular law.

His bleeding obvious long term online actions aren't enough of a clue apparently.

There's just no hope for this self confessed idiot.

Lisa Jones, I am well familiar with that case, have been from the moment the relevant judgement was given, so there was never any need for me to look for anything as you foolishly suggest.

Herbie uses the term to describe a poster who disagrees with him.

Longy used to do the same with the term, tantrum. Maria likes to use the word, troll.

No one has the right to not be offended, you know - except Herbie, Longy and Maria.

Can one be a stalker and a troll at the same time and throw a tantrum which then makes them a sore loser?

Probably.

He's got a nic for every occasion.

Remember how he played those games on Yahoo?

Why our Frodo even had a nic to threaten others physically with....well his Muttley nic has recently been on OzPol doing just that.

The re run was kinda boring this time round  Roll Eyes
