In QLD, we use it for heating in winter, cooling in summer.
So they are really very good.

In winter I put ours on the timer to come on at 2 am and heat to 18 degrees.

In summer I use it to cool the house down when we get home. After 8 pmish, we get breezes and the house is cooled down. Turn it off and open the windows.

Thanks, mate. Still going strong, especially in the Canberra Winters. Had it on today, since if got down to 13C or something. The cold A/C is also very efficient when we get those 38C days. Plus it is worth getting the unit serviced every year.

Sure, do your own calculations.
Then get a pro in

We got one of our compressors situated about 4M further away than need be, behind the house.
This allows for normal access on the path beside the house.
It was dearer and a MUCH better location for living with.

We got a mitsi.
Am certain a daikyn would do the job just as well.
Amazingly quiet, very effective.

these days you can get multi systems, one compressor with as many head units as you need. Much cheaper than ducted air conditioning.
