Turnbull Rules Out Nuclear
Oct 30th, 2015 at 3:31pm

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull was confronted by a woman who questioned his attitude to nuclear power during his visit to Tasmania today.

"There is a huge amount of nuclear waste in Australia already," Mr Turnbull replied.

"Including from hospitals and from the Lucas Heights reactor and we've got to find safer places to store it. Nuclear power is a big part of the world's energy solution.

"I think it's unlikely it will happen here."

If it's unsafe for Tasmania then it's unsafe in all other Australian States and Territories.

So why does Turnbull think Tasmania special, yet not the rest of the country.

Shame Turnbull, Shame.

So you want the brown coal generators to keep on burning coal? Would building a nuke plant maybe cost the Green’s base a bit more tax or something?

Dumbing down still.

There are more choices than the old and dirty tech of coal and nukes.

i.e baseload solar.
Something that doesn't have the opposition to it like coal and nukes have.

You have an interesting take on the meaning of the phrase 'rules out'. He said it was 'unlikely' which is not even remotely the same thing.

Do you read books?

Fiction is my favourite. Have you read the bible. Best fiction book ever written.

So Tasmania is still in the running for nukes. Why is Turnbull playing these games. Seems like he is imitating the person he just assassinated. Your mate, Abbott.

“Baseload solar” just trips off the tongue, doesn’t it? What will in fact be needed? Any idea?

Nuke for heavy, industrial power use, distributed solar for residential and light commercial.

Glad Turnbull hasn’t ruled out nuclear, now to see what the SA enquiry will find.

Why is Turnbull pretending nukes will not be a part of Tasmania's future ... seems he's just as dishonest as previous liberal leaders.

Either Nukes are safe and can be placed in anyone's backyard ... or they are unsafe dumped anywhere.

Turnbull's trickery shows his dishonesty.

You pretend to care about saving the planet from human caused climate change yet hate baseload solar.

What's your agenda. Financial interest in dirty tech, like nukes.

I will ask again.

What do you think will be needed for “baseload solar?” How many stations, how many Km a side each would need to be, where to site, how to get the power to where it is needed?

So—any idea at all what is involved or are you just mouthing slogans?

And your agenda is to oppose... everything. I bet you drive a fossil fuel car and use electricity from coal-powered plants. Come back when you get your life TRULY green.

Lot of deflection by Greens_win.

If you don’t know—try finding out. It seems “baseload solar” is just a slogan to you.

Why do you ask?
Is it because you only support nukes for personal gain?

So, you don’t actually know what is involved in “baseload solar.” So your uninformed, outdated views on modern nuclear generators can be discarded.

Typical Green, all slogans, stunts and empty rhetoric. Know nothing.

Unsustainable methods do not fit longterm goals of bringing heaven to earth. As a heathen, your goals are different. i.e destroying god's creation for a short term dollar.

This issue is a spiritual issue. When you understand this ... then you will understand.
