Do people actually get banned?
Oct 30th, 2015 at 4:42pm

Hey folks. So, I've been here a while, but I'm still wondering -- do people actually get banned here? By banned, I don't mean locked out of feedback, or given a "holiday" by everyone's favourite mod. I mean perma-banned.

I've seen some pretty nasty and banworthy comments, so I'm assuming they don't. Can anyone correct me on this?

the only one that would know that is fd...

I am on someones ban list right now....its the year of being banned for cods...

yet as you say.. some of the stuff is really bad and I dont think I even come close to some of it...I have heard of one or two being banned permanently but then being allowed back after a sojourn...so not sure what you would have to do to never be allowed back....

it isnt a very level playing field really....but its out of our hands.. and if someone doesnt like you.. then watch out..

are you thinking of getting ugly??? bttf

Majority of your posts I just skip passed. Your style of rambling on about nothing tends to do my head in.

So no, sorry you will have to poke the bone at someone else.

But Maria is different to Longy -
not so much abuse now -

Longy used to call people "snot" almost every day.

Bach, are you talking from experience or are you taking offence vicariously? If it's the latter,  why would you care?

Lot of personal abuse goes past here... some people specialise in it.

One newfer here has a long history going back through other forums, of ingratiating himself with people, then turning on them and piling up rubbish and unsubstantiated remarks - it's called flaming.

This guy has yet to offer a single comment of substance and calls people all sorts of things by way of covering his inability to actually respond - yet seems to escape the notice of the moderators.

On one forum he was banned 50+ times, and came back time after time, only to be banned again, until he finally gave up.

Freediver should set in place a moderator to pursue him alone... otherwise he will do to other forums what he is trying to do here - reduce it to a name-calling contest in which he seeks to get at other people's accounts.

You hearing me, Freed?  I'm 100% accurate on this.

Not to mention a forum spammer.

I got banned/locked out of feedback for no apparent reason. This led me to give more credence to people's socks coming back and bitching about how their other account got banned. I was just curious if it was a common occurrence here.
