Honky, I’ve always wondered. You don’t know any Muslims, you’ve never visited a Muslim.country,, I think it’s realistic to assume that you’ve never met a Muselman in your life. At most, you’ve bought a kebab - if that.

What is it that rallies you to the cause? Is it Herbie’s UK Daily Mail stories that no one reads? Old boy’s never-ever thesis? Yadda’s quotes of himself?

If you've sat down and talked to a Muslim for a few moments, then this confers upon you a knowledge and an 'understanding' that no matter how much reading another person has done - you're the only one with a valid opinion on the subject of Muslims.

How utterly childish in the extreme.

All of our academics and politicians learnt their craft from ... the written word.

Now now, Herbie, this totally contradicts Doubleplus’s point of view. For Double, only those who live next door to the Muselman can know what he’s really like.
