Somehow I doubt that you'd EVER back anyone other than a corrupt ex-union hack leading the ALP. It's just not in your nature to use a brain when deciding who to back.

Shorten isn't corrupt. That's just a smear.

You want corruption? The NSW Liberals are the most corrupt branch of any political party in the country.

I didn't know you did stand-up comedy!  Grin Grin Grin

ICAC in NSW has claimed at least 12 Liberals so far. What other branch of any political party has had more MPs forced to stand down over corruption in recent times? None.

The roll call of corrupt NSW Liberals:
Barry O’Farrell (NSW premier, member for Ku-ring-gai)
Arthur Sinodinos (federal senator for NSW)
Chris Hartcher (NSW energy minister, member for Terrigal)
Chris Spence (NSW MP, member for the Entrance)
Darren Webber (NSW MP, member for Wyong)
Marie Ficarra (NSW upper house MP)
Mike Gallacher (NSW upper house MP, NSW police and justice ministerGrin
Tim Owen (NSW MP, member for Newcastle)
Andrew Cornwell (NSW government whip, member for Charlestown)
Garry Edwards (NSW MP, member for Swansea)
Bart Bassett (NSW MP, member for Londonderry)
Craig Baumann (NSW MP, member for Port Stephens)

you didnt list what they were charged with???... thats a shame..

the list of Labor members is far too long I am afraid.. but lets say the Libs wouldnt hold a candle to OBEID alone...

These MPs are LIBERAL MPs who have fronted ICAC for corruption since 2011. Many have resigned from the party or from Parliament, including a then-current Premier and police minister.

I am well aware that others have been charged over the years, but as for CURRENT MPs, the Liberals in NSW have had more implicated in corruption.

The TURC has nothing on the coming RC into Liberal party corruption and the source of Liberal party funds. Property developers have been bribing Liberals - Labor too - to get their way for years.

they dont even know what to say do they???...I mean they have a monumental crook running their own show...who in turn is being run by a bunch of gangsters... and they have the hide to point fingers at someone else....

I mean how many Liberal Leaders have fronted Royal Commissions??? we have just about lost count with their lot..its almost  a parade  of laborites passing though our court systems   the list is endless... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

The AWB commission invited John Howard , Alexander Downer and Mark Vale - though they were only asked simple questions. Howard set up the enquiry and the terms kept him safe from any real scrutiny.

Though none of the 3 could explain how they had missed all the official warnings about the AWB rorting sanctions or had failed to see any of the 23 emails detailing the problem.

Your description of corruption shows more bias than usual. O Farrell's 'sin' was not declaring a bottle of wine. Not really up there with Obeid's $100M worth of corruption.

And is it really the best day for you to talk about Liberal misdeeds on the day a SAL Labor MP is found guilty of child porn?

Your timing is a poor as your sense of balance.

O'Farrell fell on his sword so that they would stop digging. It worked to, once he walked they moved onto someone else.

So, a little corruption is ok?

Further, your dismissal of the listed acts of corruption demonstrates far more about your balance issues than it does anyone else's.

One would think that the "balanced" approach would be to hold any and all who behave corruptly to account. But then that would rather require one to be viewing things clearly with both eyes...

The very second one is polarised in their view then they will be blinded by any actions that do not support the one sided (polarised) view they have adopted.

Your post (along with many other from both sides) demonstrate this above all else.

MALCOLM Turnbull has consolidated his standing as Australia’s “preferred prime minister”, the latest Newspoll has revealed.

Mr Turnbull won the popularity contest with 61 per cent of the vote, while opposition leader Bill Shorten only managed to garner a humiliating 18 per cent — a one point increase from a fortnight ago.

Mr Shorten’s unpopularity in the past few weeks is at the same dangerous levels of former Labor leaders Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard when they lost power.

The poll published in The Australian shows the Coalition continues to forge ahead of Labor in two-party terms, increasing its lead from 52 to 53 per cent, while Labor dropped to 47.

The Newspoll also shows the downward trend continuing for the Greens in the past few months.

They have slipped one point to 10 per cent in the latest poll, while ‘others” stands at ten per cent.

It certainly does. Would you object to an MP being thrown out for using an office stamp for his personal mail?  Wrong, but hardly a capital crime. It is time for some of you to accept that there are levels of corruption and Labor has been heading the table.

Shorten isn't corrupt. That's just a smear.

You want corruption? The NSW Liberals are the most corrupt branch of any political party in the country.

I didn't know you did stand-up comedy!  Grin Grin Grin

ICAC in NSW has claimed at least 12 Liberals so far. What other branch of any political party has had more MPs forced to stand down over corruption in recent times? None.

The roll call of corrupt NSW Liberals:
Barry O’Farrell (NSW premier, member for Ku-ring-gai)
Arthur Sinodinos (federal senator for NSW)
Chris Hartcher (NSW energy minister, member for Terrigal)
Chris Spence (NSW MP, member for the Entrance)
Darren Webber (NSW MP, member for Wyong)
Marie Ficarra (NSW upper house MP)
Mike Gallacher (NSW upper house MP, NSW police and justice ministerGrin
Tim Owen (NSW MP, member for Newcastle)
Andrew Cornwell (NSW government whip, member for Charlestown)
Garry Edwards (NSW MP, member for Swansea)
Bart Bassett (NSW MP, member for Londonderry)
Craig Baumann (NSW MP, member for Port Stephens)

Your description of corruption shows more bias than usual. O Farrell's 'sin' was not declaring a bottle of wine. Not really up there with Obeid's $100M worth of corruption.

And is it really the best day for you to talk about Liberal misdeeds on the day a SAL Labor MP is found guilty of child porn?

Your timing is a poor as your sense of balance.

They all took the oath to serve their electorates , corruption doesnt have a price tag .

It certainly does. Would you object to an MP being thrown out for using an office stamp for his personal mail?  Wrong, but hardly a capital crime. It is time for some of you to accept that there are levels of corruption and Labor has been heading the table.

Many people seem to have an inability to assign degrees of difference.

It often results in idiot equivalencies where everything is exactly the same as another thing and with everything being the same nothing can be condemned.
