I had to drive into the outskirts of Sydney this morning and there it was, everywhere. It was a hot, sultry morning and young girls going to school and young women going to work were in dark clothing, heavy dark leggings under skirts and black headgear.

This is no way for people to dress in Australia. I don't know what other name you would give it but OPPRESSION!
Where is the womens' lib movement? Don't they have anything to say about this?

'Womens's lib' would say that a woman is entitled to dress however she chooses.

But does she REALLY choose? Does she have the right to choose?
I think you know the honest answer to that even if you won't speak it.

In this country? Almost always yes.

I see Muslim dress everyday. From light face coverings to not one piece of skin showing. The later dress style sure gets a reaction. It's women who dislike it the most. It's shocking.

I'd have to disagree with you on that.

"In 2012, 2,036 people died from skin cancer in Australia.

"The majority of these deaths were due to melanoma, with 1,515 deaths from melanoma that year, compared with 521 deaths from non-melanoma skin cancers."

"For best protection, we recommend a combination of sun protection measures:

"Slip on some sun-protective clothing – that covers as much skin as possible

"Slap on a hat – that protects your face, head, neck and ears".

You  don't understand my point.
I mean if she REALLY had a choice. If she wasn't harangued by some mufti into accepting that it was ordained by God. If she wasn't harangued into that just as people in Birmingham were harangued into voting Labor recently or risk going to hell.

This is not real choice. This is oppression of women and you leftists condone it with a lip service reference to it being what they want.

Yeah. It's full on. It turns heads. I'm used to it but it's like somebody walking into the shops with a sheet covering their body like a ghost. Australians mostly wear shorts and shirts or summer dresses because it's hot. That contrast between skin showing and no skin showing makes it stand out more in my opinion.

In this country they really have a choice Bogarde. Have you ever asked an Australian woman why she wears head coverings?

Likewise. What's more it's an oft researched topic.

Women by and large say that they are not compelled to wear head coverings by anyone. They choose to and have no judgement on women who choose not to.

I find the ignoring of the female mass murders occurring in Australia more appalling.

You think Australians born overseas, that's about 25% of the population, are not allowed to voice their opinions. Perhaps you're in the wrong country.
