EVERY week, on average, one Australian woman is killed by a current or former partner.
More than 27,000 domestic violence assaults were reported to police last year in NSW alone, averaging 74 assaults in the state per day, and it’s the reason behind more than 30 per cent of all homicide cases in New South Wales.

One in three women in Australia has experienced some sort of violence since the age of 15, around 3.91 million, and indigenous women are 35 timesmore likely to be affected.
One in five Australian women has been stalked.
It’s an issue estimated to cost the Australian economy $14.4 billion per annum, and it’s the leading contributor to death, disability and ill-health in Australian women aged 15-44.

I find the ignoring of the female mass murders occurring in Australia more appalling.

If you feel so strongly, why are you still here?

You're statement doesn't make sense.

You keep knocking this country, so it makes perfect sense to ask, why are you still here then?

You think Australians born overseas, that's about 25% of the population, are not allowed to voice their opinions. Perhaps you're in the wrong country.

Your "opinions" are 99% of the time derogatory criticisms, so, and I repeat, why are you still here?

I had to drive into the outskirts of Sydney this morning and there it was, everywhere. It was a hot, sultry morning and young girls going to school and young women going to work were in dark clothing, heavy dark leggings under skirts and black headgear.

This is no way for people to dress in Australia. I don't know what other name you would give it but OPPRESSION!
Where is the womens' lib movement? Don't they have anything to say about this?

'Womens's lib' would say that a woman is entitled to dress however she chooses.

I see Muslim dress everyday. From light face coverings to not one piece of skin showing. The later dress style sure gets a reaction. It's women who dislike it the most. It's shocking.

Does your Pakistani neighbour don the burqa, Homo? You know, the one with the goat meat?

But does she REALLY choose? Does she have the right to choose?
I think you know the honest answer to that even if you won't speak it.

In this country? Almost always yes.

You  don't understand my point.
I mean if she REALLY had a choice. If she wasn't harangued by some mufti into accepting that it was ordained by God. If she wasn't harangued into that just as people in Birmingham were harangued into voting Labor recently or risk going to hell.

This is not real choice. This is oppression of women and you leftists condone it with a lip service reference to it being what they want.

The Muslim women I speak to say it's their choice.

And you speak to how many "Muslim women"?

Not many.  15 or 20, maybe.

The point is, every single one of them has told me that it's their choice.

How many have you spoken to, and what have they told you?

Well that's what this feminist says, and plenty agree with me.

It is true that not all feminists agree with me of course.  But most would.

Muslim women aren't allowed to speak aussie men where I live. It's not done. I don't talk about religion and customs with anybody. The bloke next door tells me about EID and whatever. I don't pay attention.
