Since the definition of success is such a fluid concept then

one could also say that to wear an explosive vest
could also be deemed successful (well depending on the outcome and individual's perspective)....
We still don't have your definition of success after all.
Money has been mentioned in the past but you have dismissed this, despite many of your success posts being ultimately about making money.
So, success, what exactly do you mean?
The rest of your post is somewhat negative and ill informed.
For example, weeds have a job to do, one of which, they are mother nature's way of saying stop smacking with the environment I already made for you...
There are no weeds in a natural undeveloped forest. FACT (as some are wont to say).
success = the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.
success generally involves the following
1 being congruent with your work and your life purpose (ie not really being able to distinguish work from play, because you are involved in your passion).
being interested in the growth and self actualisation of those who matter to you (partner, family, friends, community, nation, world) in that order.
2 working very hard and realising that small disciplines build muscle for when you need it.
3 studying successful people
4 reading
5 looking after nutrition
6 being persistent
7 coming from a mindset of abundance and from a mindset of contribution.
I like the weed analogy
I agree we should try to create a pristine forrest.(though i'd say we need to think of it as building a bauetiful botanic gardens).
Weeds is a good analogy.
you always have to be on their case.
One years weed = seven years seed.
so undesirables are best dealt with instantly.
you check the borders of your botanical garden and disinfect anything trying to get in.
Dont let the undesirables in.
You also recognise that your garden is improved by importing great specimens from other places.
(many times i have called for the importation of danish engineers, Silicon valley IT entrepreneurs and German auto designers...look at these as importing truly beautiful trees to make our botanic garden the envy of the world).
If the lefties want to import lots of thistles and lantana and prickley pear....we have to ask, why would you do that?
i look forward to their answer.
