Coffee was discovered in a monastery.

Nope.

Coffee doesn't grow that well indoors.

Coffee was discovered by a Muslim goat herder.

Kaldi - the goat herder - gave a passing monk some of the berries (coffee) he had discovered.

The monk took it back to his monastery, and made it into a beverage.

See what you could learn, if you did a little reading?

If you read the story Khalid was Abyssinian, the Abyssinian's were Christians.

Khalid took his coffee beans to the local holy man at the monastery where it mentions he spoke to the chief monk.
Islam does not have Monks or Monastery.

Why are you crediting Islam for what a Christian goat herder discovered peccahead, do you like being caught out telling lies?

Do some research on Sufi monasteries in Yemen.

Grin  Too easy.

Coffee wasn't discovered in Yemen according to the story.

Islam does not have Monks peccahead.

He is a bit slow when he is on the bottle.

Strange.

I never said that coffee was discovered in Yemen, and I never said that Islam had monks.

Perhaps you two should see Specsavers.

http://www.specsavers.com.au/?

I'll treasure both of your flags.

Thank you.

That's correct (I never said the monk was a Muslim, though).

And, coffee was first discovered by the Muslim goat herder (who passed it onto the monk, who then made it into a beverage).

What part don't you understand?

What part of that don't you understand peccahead?

Not all of them.

Certainly not the Muslim goat herders (which includes the one who discovered coffee).

It was a Monk who made the first beverage from coffee.

There is no evidence Khalid was a muslim, the quran forbids muslims from taking Christians as friends.
Read all translations peccahead
www.quran.com/5/51

At the time of coffee being discovered Ethiopia was one of the few countries in that area which had not been conquered by Islam.
Even today Ethiopia is still a Christian majority country.

All I see is a pathetic pissant trying to credit muslims for something Christians discovered.

Better still, let's check out the history of Islam in Ethiopia.

"Islam in Ethiopia is the second-most widely practised religion after Christianity".

"The faith arrived in Ethiopia at an early date, shortly after the hijira."

"The Hegira or Hijrah is the migration or journey of the Islamic prophet Muhammad and his followers from Mecca to Yathrib, later renamed by him to Medina, in the year 622 CE."

"The first Hegira is dated to 615 when a group of Muslims counseled by Muhammad to escape persecution in Mecca arrived at the court of a Christian king, the Negus in Ethiopia (who ruled Abyssinia at the time). Muhammad himself did not join this emigration. In that year, his followers fled Mecca's leading tribe, the Quraysh, who sent emissaries to Ethiopia to bring them back to Arabia."

Why are some people so desperate to make out muslims are smart ?

Clearly they are not being people that follow a Pedophile.

Oh but greg, you really can't fault Baron logic. Lets see, so far we have...

- coffee can't have come from a muslim in Abyssynia because Abyssinia was never a muslim nation
- the story of a muslim passing it to a christian must be false because the Quran supposedly bans muslims from having christian friends

Thats up there with all kurds are atheist because they have a secular constitution and theres some women without a hijab - or that the story of a muslim woman getting pulled by the hair must be fake because muslim women must only wear hijabs.

A resident Islam critic who claims to represent western values said:
Quote:
Outlawing the enemy's uniform - hijab, islamic beard - is not depriving one's own people of their freedoms.
