Two Lebanese-born Australians are among a group of extremists charged with supporting Islamic State (IS) militants, Kuwaiti authorities say.
Kuwait's state news agency said the two Australians, who share the same surname, had been charged with financing and arming an IS terrorist cell.
While one report said they had been arrested, another said they had been charged but were still at large.
A Lebanese national is accused of leading the cell and providing heat-seeking anti-aircraft missiles.Five Syrians, a Kuwaiti and an Egyptian were also involved, Kuwaiti authorities said.
The cell is alleged to have coordinated the travel of militants to fight with IS
and transferred funds to Turkey and Australia.
There is no information about how those bank accounts in Australia and Turkey were operated.
