Thanks for clearing that one up.

Yep but not to any great extent.
They don't start fires, they make damp things more likely to burn, by drying them out. Heatwaves dry crops. Who knew? Dry crops burn. And especially so when harvest is on.

And the only time "Heatwave" is mentioned in the attached article is in the headline. What does that tell you about heatwaves and wildfires. It makes the fire more difficult to fight, beccause of heavy protective gear.

You though, were attempting to make political capital out of those deaths.

Are you talking about error values
again
?

.. you just don't like quantitative argument do you buddy  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

What is a model, my dear lee, if not for experimentation?

Experimentation is one thing. Treating the output of models as fact; is entirely different.

It gives a false impression.

How?

It gave a false impression that the heatwaves were causative.

The objective of models is to determine ranges of prospective facts if the conditions of the model are repeated in an ecosystem.

Models produce a range of prospective facts. Its more scientific than abject denialism.

And yet they only quote the most scary. They do not admit to doubt. And with the great variety of "parameters" that are input, which is correct?

The models don't do projections, predictions, prognostications. Just what do they do?

Scientific method has to start somewhere. You want a free-lunch son and we all know you can't talk your way out of that little truth!

- lee demands his free-lunch now and everyone else can just go and get it for him or he will pout and scream for mummy to help him demand the servants act more efficiently  Cheesy Cheesy

Yeh, but it doesn't end at the model. The model needs to be verified.

That's why people were invented.

I have to highlight to prevent lee going off on a frolic by picking one word and turning it into a plethora of denials, arguments and false facts.
